After spending the week photographing this brown bear family in Katmai National Park, Alaska (US), decided to experiment with some video. The iPhone provided a lower perspective view than the camera on the tripod, which I perferred. The iPhone was positioned on the creek bank, just on top of the rocks. I discretely turned the video on as the family approached and could still use my camera. When you see these bears, keep in mind they are only 4-6 feet away, since I opted for the wide angle video perspective. You can see the first cub of the year with some remains of a recently caught salmon from mom. In the beginning of the audio portion you can hear the rapid FPS of the Canon 1Dx Mark III and near the end you hear a splash. The mother dove in after a fish right in front of me. Good times.
