This photograph of a White-tailed Deer doe and fawn was captured in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. This was one of those magic early mornings. The doe came from the woods and went into the field and greeted the fawn from the hiding spot. After a tongue washing she walked the fawn over to a small pool of water for a drink (6/08).
